Rowing at UEA

Key Information The University of East Anglia Boat Club stands as a competitive rowing club, training and competing throughout the year, nationwide. By following the motto of, 'Fortune Favours the Brave' our crews have seen recent successes winning pots and BUCS medals. We continue to develop the club to strive for larger titles. Our beginner programs consistently place in the 6 top university beginner crews. Training takes part at the Whitlingham Boathouse, which not only houses our extensive fleet of Hudson and Fillipi boats, but also provides a rowing-focused gym space for strength and conditioning, and ergo sessions. This Boathouse sits alongside the River Yare, a wide 15km stretch of river which allows for varied training including side-by-side 8s and frequent races. UEABC invites all levels of abilities from complete beginners to intermediate athletes, rowers and coxswains also. Our head of rowing has 16 years of experience coaching sweeping and sculling.
