Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS)

The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) is a Sport England funded partnership between talented athletes, delivery sites and national governing bodies of sport. Partners work together to bring the best out of our country’s most exciting young talent. TASS helps athletes – aged 16-plus – to balance sport within the rest of their lives, be they in education, training or another form of personal development. For more information on the scheme please visit https://www.tass.gov.uk/. We at the University of East Anglia (UEA) are delighted to have been recently awarded both TASS Delivery Site status and TASS Dual-Career accreditation.  Delivery site status means we as an organisation have performance support service staff that meet the required qualification level in their respective disciplines. The second, dual-career element of the scheme means we as an organisation can provide elite athletes with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and expertise to have a career outside sport, whether that is via  a pathway involving either education, training or another form of personal development. This can include a consideration of academic flexibility if TASS athletes are studying with us at UEA. Following being accredited for both elements of the TASS scheme we are delighted to have a number of athletes assigned to us by TASS and already working with us at the UEA. If you have any queries about the TASS scheme or how it operates here at UEA, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via performance.sport@uea.ac.uk. We look forward to supporting many more talented athletes and seeing how they progress and what success they go on to achieve. Watch TASS Duel Career Accreditation Scheme here!
