With practitioners covering the key aspects of strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, nutrition, psychology and lifestyle we also utilise internal expertise of performance analysis and coach education. Performance Support

With practitioners covering the key aspects of strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, nutrition, psychology and lifestyle we also utilise internal expertise of performance analysis and coach education. Always seeking innovative and resourceful ways of providing the most effective service, our performance support team work with you to enable the best you to evolve.

Working closely with our coaches, our strength and conditioning team seek to develop both the physical and athletic aspects of the programmes.

Focusing on the specifics such as strength, power, speed and agility our team also support the development of general conditioning and durability, supporting athletes to reduce their risk of injury and keeping them more active to pursue their sporting aspirations.

At UEA we also operate a student internship programme which enables students who have an interest in, or passion for, strength and conditioning, the opportunity to work closely with student teams under the supervision of our lead S&C coach.

Physiotherapy and Massage

Supporting and supported by our S&C team, we offer physiotherapy and massage services to students, ensuring you can effectively meet the demands of your sport.

Enabling students to be supported before, during and after events is a key part of our support service to performance athletes as we acknowledge the freedom of competition when feeling fit and health leads to greater performance, success and growth for an individual.

Similarly to our S&C programme, students support the delivery of physiotherapy and massage delivered on behalf of UEA+Sport and we encourage their continued development through sport.

Nutrition

Both internal and external professionals in the field of nutrition offer you a wide range of individual and group workshops on the importance and benefits of good nutrition.

With practical cooking sessions, food diaries and recipes all regularly available to support you in reaching your goals, our nutritional support will enable you to take control of your nutrition. Working closely with other practitioners in the support services team we want to ensure you have the best possible support in achieving your overall holistic growth.

Psychology

The UEA plays host to some of the educational sectors leading sports psychologists and working closely with them we enable teams and individuals to access the support required to enable you the best possible structure to achieve your potential.

Lifestyle

Supporting student athletes on a personal level, our lifestyle support team aspire to create an environment necessary for you to achieve your own personal success whilst on your journey with UEA+Sport.

Linked with S&C, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Psychology, your lifestyle support is built around you as the athlete and takes a holistic approach to supporting you achieve your ultimate aims.

Coaches

A coaches journey is never over and we are committed to continuing the development of all coaches at UEA. Whether it be through training courses, networking or workshops we are constantly seeking innovative ways to evolve coaching for UEA, Norwich and Norfolk.
