Physical Activity Referral Scheme

UEA+sport and UEA Student Services are delighted to announce  the launch of a revamped sport and physical activity referral scheme. Sport and physical activity are proven to have a positive effect on wellbeing, with higher levels of activity associated with improved personal wellbeing, reduced anxiety, reduction in feelings of social isolation and increased mental wellbeing (BUCS, 2018).

Through referral, the scheme entitles students to a completely FREE and bespoke programme of activities that aims to enable students to increase their physical activity levels. Activity options available to students are listed below. UEA+Sport and UEA Student Services want to remove the barriers to participation and ensure no student misses out on the opportunity to experience both the physical and mental health benefits increased physical activity can bring. If you feel you would benefit from this scheme, and want to find out if you are eligible to receive a support package, please email uea.ers@uea.ac.uk or call 01603 597909 or 01603 597297.
