Nomination Process

This year we have 22 awards in total; 6 social media awards, 8 club awards, 5 individual awards, 3 team awards and Full, Half, and Club Colours to announce and present. Nominations for these are now open. The selection of awards is designed to look at not only the results on the surface, but also to recognise and reward the work put in behind the scenes.

Please note winners of Colours Awards will be invited to the UEA Colours Awards on Wednesday, May 6th, 12pm – 2pm in The Enterprise Centre.

Additional Information

Nominations may be made by any UEA student or staff member, including but not limited to: club committee members, activators, members of the Student Sport Exec and UEA’s Physical Education & Sport Department. Where possible, please ensure your club only submits one nomination per category. The winners are chosen based on the quality of the nomination, not the quantity of nominations received, i.e. if we receive a club of the year nomination from every single member of your club, another club who only submitted one excellent nomination could still win the award over you.

Please note all achievements should have taken place between April 2025 and March 2026 (i.e. you may submit nominations for events that took place last academic year after the nominations for the 2025 Sports Awards had closed).
All nominations will be assessed by a judging panel consisting of a combination of the following staff: Director of Sport & Commercial Services, Head of Sport & Physical Activity, Student Performance Sport Manager, Student Sport Operations Manager, Student Sport & Physical Activity Development Coordinators, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Physiotherapist, Student Sport Administrators, Head of Communities & Programme, Student Communities Coordinator and the Activities and Opportunities Officer.

Nominations for all awards will open on Friday 27th February at 9am and will close on Thursday 26th March at 9am. Any nominations submitted after this date will not be considered.
