Strength and Conditioning

We have a full-time strength and conditioning (S&C) coach, who works closely with both our individual sport scholars and our performance sport teams. Individual scholars, at all levels, are able to book direct one to one appointments with our S&C coach to discuss and develop a bespoke and individualised S&C programme. Our peformance team sports have weekly team S&C sessions to compliment their sport specific training programme.

All programmes can also be uploaded on our TeamBuildr app which allows athletes to see their their individual/team programme and work through their exercises, with videos and key information available so athletes can continue their personalised programmes remotely. Our S&C coach works closely with all performance support service staff to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to athlete development.

Physiotherapy and Massage

We offer physiotherapy and massage services to students, ensuring atheltes can effectively meet the demands of their sport. All individual scholars and team scholars can access weekly appointments with our lead physiotherapist during scheduled clinic times for free and all recieve 10% discount on sport massage. All of these take place conveniently at the Sportspark facility. We are also able to provide a number of free sport massage clinics each year on a first come first serve basis.

Enabling students to be supported before, during and after events is a key part of our support service to performance athletes.  We understand feeling fit and healthy leads to greater performance, success and growth for individuals.

Similarly to our S&C programme, qualfiied students support the delivery of sport massage (via the UEA Physio Society) delivered on behalf of UEA+Sport and we encourage their continued development through sport.

Nutrition

We have a part-time nutritionist who offers a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of sports nutrition. Individual scholars can book one to one personal appointments with our nutritionist and group workshops can be arranged for team scholars to enable greater understanding about the importance and benefits of good nutrition.

Athletes can benefit from nutrition planning, programming and education and body composition analysis via either small group and one to one sessions to support athletes in reaching their goals. Our nutritional support enables athletes to take control of their nutrition and ensure they have the best possible support in achieving their overall holistic development.
