This weekend, Saturday 8th Feburary,  UEA Pole Fitness travelled to London for their first competition of the year – South East IUPDC (Inter-University Pole Dancing Competition) Regionals. We had competitors in the Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Group categories. After an early start in the morning (5am!) we were treated to excellent performances from guest performers, other universities and our own members!

Joe Loftus created a entertaining piece to ‘Physical (Glee Cast Version)’ which got the whole audience clapping along to his routine. Next up was Hana Inal performing a sassy routine to ‘Save a Horse’ and proved herself a great competitor. Diana Priimak followed with a beautiful routine to ‘Can We Kiss Forever’ where she showed off her great flexibility routines. Finally, our group (consisting of Rosa Hopper, Will Hodder, Lottie Dyce, Elizabeth Ward and Ciara Bright) provided us with a light-hearted Toy Story themed routine to ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ and were commended for their synchronicity and Will’s T-rex impression!

Our club is really proud of all the hard work and effort our competitors put into creating their routines, and even though we didn’t place we are sure they had a great experience and are thankful they competed for us.”
