Training Times & Venues
When?
We run sessions on Wednesday and Sunday every week during term time, from 13.00-16.00.
Where?
We meet at the Water Sports Shed, which can be found at Suffolk Terrace Block C (red dot on the map) at 13.00, where we get changed and pick up the boats. We then head down to the River Yare on campus, by the bridge on the other side of the lake. We provide all kit and safeties to run every session, all you need to bring is a towel and swim/gym gear to wear under your wetsuit!
What?
At the sessions we work on building up your kayaking skills. We go for a paddle along the river, work on skills and play games.
Trips:
We also run regular trips, including whitewater day trips to centres like the Nene or Lee Valley, whitewater weekend trips to places like Wales or the Peaks, flatwater day and weekend trips around Norfolk and further afield!
Pool Sessions:
During the winter months we run skills training sessions in a local pool, ensuring that members are able to develop skills like rolling in the colder months.

Recent History
Kayak is an inclusive, friendly club with a great array of ways to get involved. Outside of kayaking we run regular socials (including brunches, bar crawls, club nights, games nights and joint socials with other water sports clubs) and are actively involved in raising money and awareness for charities (we recently ran a campus wide litter pick with other water sports clubs in support of the UEA COP26 Festival).
Please feel free to drop us an email via ueakayak@gmail.com or a message on our Instagram @ueakayak or our Facebook page UEA Kayak Club if you have any questions or queries, we would love to hear from you!
