UEA Archery offers the opportunity for UEA students/alumni to take part in archery regardless of skill level. We cater to complete beginners, providing all the equipment and fantastic coaches that can help you learn the basics and grow your skills as quickly as you want. We offer fun and relaxed sessions with a sociable atmosphere so everyone can take part and have fun without any pressure on performance.

Recent History

2022/23

  • UEA Archery won the 1st place in the novice team category for the SEAL local league.
  • Layla Annison won the silver medal for Women’s Compound at the BUCS Indoor National Championships, scoring 8 BUCS points for the university.
  • Kieran Newell-Thomas placed 4th in the Gent’s Barebow at the BUCS Indoor National Championships, scoring 4 BUCS points for the university.
  • Yan Ho, Ng broke the previous Novice recurve record for UEA with 541/600 points compared to the previous score of 521 set in 2021/22.

2021/22 

  • UEA Archery came 1st place in the SEAL local league.
  • Thomas Rands broke the previous Novice recurve record for UEA with 521/600 points compared to the previous score of 500 set in 2014/15.

2018/19

  • UEA Archery won their first ever leg in the SEAL local league with a new UEA record score.
  • Charis Charalambous placed 8th in the BUCS finals for Gent’s Recurve after losing the quarter finals match to Alex Wise, the GB no.3, and subsequent winner of the competition in 2018/19.

2017/18

  • Charis Charalambous broke the record for highest recorded score in the SEAL local league of 14 universities with 591/600.

2016/17

  • Tom Lucking won a bronze medal and scored UEA BUCS points in Gent’s Longbow

2014/15

  • James Hart set the Novice record for UEA of 500 in 2014/15.
